Mixing & Application Instructions
Coverage
Coverage varies depending on coating thickness and application method.
Approximately 50–200 sq. ft. per gallon depending on surface and mixture thickness.
Preparation
• Cover nearby plants, grass, and surrounding surfaces using plastic sheeting
• Wear appropriate full PPE during application
• Test a small inconspicuous area before full application
Mixing
EXPERT Wood Stripper Pro may be adjusted to different consistencies depending on application method:
• Gel / Paste consistency: Mix with drill mixer on high speed for approximately 1 minute until thickened
• Sprayer application: Mix briefly (about 10 seconds)
• If mixture becomes too thick, allow product to rest 30 minutes to thin naturally
Application
Apply using:
• Brush
• Roller
• Sprayer (remove filters if spraying)
For best performance:
• Apply between 50°F and 100°F
• Lower temperatures increase dwell time
• Multiple spray applications may be required for heavy coatings
Dwell Time
Allow product to dwell 30 minutes to several hours depending on coating thickness.
• Product must remain wet while working
• In direct sunlight, cover with plastic to prevent premature drying
• Test periodically by scraping to determine when coatings release easily
Removal
Once coatings lift:
• Remove with pressure washer or scraper
• Work from bottom upward
• Use approximately a 45° spray angle when pressure washing
Some surfaces may require:
• A second application
• Light brushing with a wire brush while surface is still wet
Rinse & Clean-Up
• Rinse surface and surrounding areas thoroughly with water
• Collect removed coatings and dispose according to local regulations
• Do not rinse waste into soil, drains, or waterways
• Clean all tools and equipment with soap and water immediately after use
Warnings
Always wear PPE when using product including:
• Chemical-resistant gloves
• Long sleeves and long pants
• Closed-toe footwear
• Protective spray suit or coveralls
• Head covering
• NIOSH-approved respirator
Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated environments. Wash skin thoroughly after handling and launder contaminated clothing separately.
